Project goals
Target group
The primary focus is on mentally distressed displaced people, irrespective of their residency status. Special consideration is given to children, women and families.
Project implementation
The PSZ offers social and psychosocial counselling, psychological diagnostics, crisis intervention, group services and individual therapy for people seeking protection throughout the state of Brandenburg. Through collaboration with clinics and other actors within the conventional healthcare system, we ensure access to care for our target group. The group programmes are predominantly gender-specific. The PSZ also offers telephone and face-to-face counselling as well as staff training (e.g. for social workers in counselling centres). Furthermore, the project actively engages in the conceptual development of structural enhancements to the psychosocial care of people seeking protection in the state of Brandenburg.
