Our offersIndependent Asylum Procedure Counselling
Independent asylum procedure counselling aims to ensure that individuals seeking protection are informed about the purpose, procedures, and content of the asylum process and are provided with advice and support throughout.
This enables them to comprehend the procedure and its individual steps, to effectively exercise their rights and obligations, and better evaluate their possible courses of action.
By providing experienced and competent procedural counselling, we assist asylum seekers in articulating their personal stories of persecution by offering comprehensive information on the persecution they have faced and the risks associated with returning to their home country. In a safe environment, they receive information regarding all legal and factual requirements of their respective procedure (Dublin III/first/second/follow-up application, etc.), as well as about their procedural rights, thus empowering them to actively participate in their procedure. This aims to uphold the principles of the rule of law, quality, and fairness in the asylum procedure.
We offer this independent asylum procedure counselling as well as a specialised counselling services for particularly vulnerable and LGBTQ+ refugees at the following initial reception centres in Brandenburg:
