Newly arrived asylum seekers in the state of Brandenburg are directed to the Initial Reception Center in Eisenhüttenstadt, where they undergo various stages of the procedure. Upon registration, if necessary, they may be transferred to branch offices of the Initial Reception Center in Frankfurt (Oder) or Wünsdorf.
Independent legal advice for people seeking protection is available at all initial reception centres, as part of an initiative of the Brandenburg state parliament and on behalf of the Brandenburg Ministry of the Interior.
